Brigitte Robinson is an accomplished actor who has appeared in theatre, film, radio and television across Canada. Brigitte was a member of the Shaw Festival for 13 years, where she performed in over 25 productions. She has also worked in many of the major theatres across Canada. Recent roles include the feisty lead character Chris in Calendar Girls at the Grand Theatre in London and earlier, the icy Marie in the same play at the Royal Alex Theatre for Mirvish Productions; sophisticated Ruth in The Citadel Theatre's production of Blithe Spirit; and the hilarious Jane in Fallen Angels for the Saidye Bronfman Theatre in Montreal. Brigitte was featured in the role of Frau Schmidt in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Sound of Music at The Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Most recently Brigitte has appeared in Anne of Green Gables for Theatre Calgary and in the Manitoba Theatre Centre production of August: Osage County.
Her many film, radio and television credits include feature roles in the Hallmark TV movie A Christmas Song; the critically-acclaimed TV series Murdoch Mysteries; and the title role in the feature film Punch and Judy. Brigitte was host of CBC TV's Switchback, and CTV’s Renovation Zone.
Upcoming, Brigitte will be seen in the feature film Haunted Peak, and at the Elora Festival in Canada Fall In, a tribute in words and music to Canadian soldiers’ bravery in WWI.
